Meet The Artists
The Neighborhood Kids are a conscious hip-hop collective out of San Diego California using music as a vehicle for justice, unity, and meaningful change. Led by Verde, Amon the MC, backed by DJ JG, Gatoz Locoz, Jon The Funky Monk, Niko Rosy and Emmerson, they bring hard-hitting lyrics and a revolutionary sound that challenges the norm, aiming to shift minds and change the world through hip-hop. Most recently, The Neighborhood Kids won Best New Artist and Best Hip-Hop or Rap Artist at the 2025 San Diego Music Awards.
The band cope is a 4 piece indie/alternative band from San Diego, making music your mom needed during her divorce. Focusing on finding the light within the void, ellie marc bill and Harry come together to create a musical experience for that happy-sad-everything feeling. Recording and touring frequently, the band members consider each other best friends. Having known each other for close to 10 years, and having tried a lot of different sounds, the band cope is a project founded on fun, experimentation, and friendship. Mr. Growly is a three-piece instrumental hypnotic surf punk and garage rock band from San Diego, CA, playing original music that evokes Link Wray, Agent Orange, and Dick Dale. As the founder of Austin Microphones, guitarist Rick Wilkinson builds his own reverb units, tube amps and effects. Mike Espar (drums) and Bob Kostlan (bass) are both professors in the San Diego City College Commercial Music Program. Check out Mr. Growly on Bandcamp, YouTube, and Instagram.
Since 2001, Ryan Blue has been floating around San Diego playing guitar and singing songs he wrote and songs he wishes he wrote. Ryan's band is a supergroup of old and new friends: Andrew Armerding on Guitar, Chad Pittman on Bass, Shelbi Bennett on vocals/synth Daniel Ezra on keys and Andrew McNally on drums. Together they create an urgent, driving harmonic wall of sound that can best be experienced live and in person.

Based in San Diego, Gui Flowerz and the Hummingbeez are crafting a sound that blends warmth with indie soul and a touch of grunge.
Gui grew up in Brazil listening to his dad's vinyl, finding his voice and soul in music. Joining forces with Grady on bass and Alessandro on drums, fellow friends and creatives — Gui Flowerz has evolved into a full band, bringing his vision to life with even more depth and energy.
This Soundsation performance will also feature a special appearance by Lua B — a rising artist and student in the Commercial Music program — adding dreamy textures and fresh perspective to the set.

Jesus Guerrero (aka chxy) is a DJ, Producer, and multi-disciplinary creative that primarily focuses on creating heavy energetic EDM music. His musical influences range from artists such as Skrillex, ISOxo, RL Grime, and others. Based in San Diego, he draws inspiration from various genres, artists, and life experiences to create music that he feels is true to himself. His main goal is to push the scene forward, and to bend between genres.
Heavy Metal band REVOLT is here to deliver a high energy performance. Characterized by heavy and energetic music, with a passionate and energetic presence that could only be described as "in your face".
Formed by two students at San Diego City College, REVOLT is on a mission to rock!

Hailing from San Diego, California, L is a driven, passionate and charismatic artist with a unique approach to his blend of hip-hop, funk & party anthems
His music is all about connecting with listeners through the warmth and feel of old school / golden age productions, uplifting melodies, and a thought-provoking lyrical flow, not unlike influential performers such as Q-Tip, A Tribe Called Quest, James Brown, & J Dilla, just to mention a few.
As a member of San Diego’s No Sucker DJ Crew, he has had the chance to share the stage with big name artist such as: Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, Big Krit, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Snow tha Product, to name a few.
